FROM today the landscape for one of the UK’s leading providers of professional and technical recruitment changes forever.

For Network Recruitment Partnership’s latest acquisition of the renowned supply chain and logistics management recruiter, BJD Group whose headquarters are based in Market Harborough sees the long-established Birmingham company moving to the other side of the M69 motorway.

“The BJD Group deal gives us a foothold in the East Midlands,” said Network Recruitment Partnership’s managing director Ken Wood.

Some 18 months ago, Network Recruitment Partnership acquired Procurement People Recruitment Ltd a subsidiary company, offering highly specialised recruitment services to the Procurement sector on a national and international basis.

Ken added: “The addition of BJD Group gives us a lot more scope and now we have three companies all under one umbrella complementing each other we can offer our clients access to recruiters with real and in depth knowledge of their businesses.

The takeover brings two companies together with more than half a century of trading – Network Recruitment Partnership has been around since 1984 and BJD Group has a 22 year pedigree working at senior level in the supply chain and distribution sectors with more than 100,000 candidates registered to its database.

BJD company founder Barrie Dowsett is retiring later in the year but his son Chris will be carrying on the family tradition – having spent 17 years associated with the business.

Chris Dowsett said: “It’s really great to join such a strategically aligned group.

“We’re all looking forward to the future challenges of our industry under the umbrella of the largest privately-held recruitment organisation in the UK .”

Network Recruitment Partnership is part of the £500m turnover Pertemps Network Group. BJD’s clients will now have immediate access  to more than 100 national UK branches and another 30 other specialist functional and sector-focused recruitment brands.

Ken added:We have always endeavoured to stand apart from other recruiters offering a professional service to both clients and candidates – based on partnership approach, market sector knowledge and a passion for recruitment.”
