MICHAEL FABRICANT TO CHAIR A DEBATE ON WIND POWER
Michael Fabricant will be the Chairman for a debate on wind power at Wade Street Church in Lichfield at 11am on Saturday 13th October. The event is being organised by the group: Low Carbon Lichfield. Speakers will be Ed Gill from Good Energy, Phil Goode from Council for the Protection of Rural England (Staffordshire) and Professor Peter Styles from the University of Keele.
Those attending will have the opportunity to respond to the views of the speakers and attendees will be polled on their views on this controversial topic.
Michael says: “As a Chartered Engineer, I am looking forward to chairing this debate. The UK is committed to a low carbon economy. Whether you agree with man’s influence or not over global warming, we are running out of finite resources like hydrocarbons to produce oil. But is wind energy and giant windmills the right solution? This is what we’ll be hearing on 13th October. All are welcome to attend”.
